PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our unique training program is designed for those students who wish to pursue their dance education at a pre-professional level. Students study classical techniques in ballet, jazz and conditioning along with contemporary and commercial trends to prepare them for a career in dance. The BCDC Henriques Program faculty are highly skilled instructors who currently work in today's industry and utilize their own classical training and experience to prepare the next generation of professional dancers. The students take a variety of  program classes a week in a challenging, positive environment while also learning original choreography by both BCDC faculty and guest teachers. They are also required and encouraged to take extra classes in tap, hip-hop, contemporary, pointe and private lessons. Program students have several performance opportunities throughout the year. Placement into the program is contingent upon evaluation by BCDC faculty.
